The Companion Chronicles Big Finish Productions que estuvo disponible en estrenos mensuales cada ocho meses durante ocho temporadas entre 2007 y 2014 antes de relanzarse con los estrenos de paquetess completos de audios posteriormente.
La ambición general — aunque no invariable — de esta serie era contar historias usando a los acompañantes de los primeros cuatro Doctores. Un estreno normal que formaba parte de esta línea tenía tan solo a dos actores, una composición musical y algunos efectos de sonido con un diseño de sonido , dando lugar a un resultado final que se situaba entre un audiolibro y un drama de reparto completo.
